The Saugerties Arts Commission (SAC) was founded in 2019 by the Saugerties Town Board with the aim to make our community stronger by forging strong connections between the arts and the public.

WE ARE SEEKING SAUGERTIES RESIDENTS WHO HAVE SOCIAL MEDIA OR WEBSITE MAINTENCE EXPERIENCE.

The SAC is made up of Saugerties residents who are deeply connected to the arts. The SAC believes that the arts are integral to a healthy society and vital for the enrichment of its residents. Saugerties is home to a diverse array of artists, arts organizations and supporters of the arts, and the SAC promotes opportunities for residents and visitors to experience the rich cultural life of the town through visual, performing, media, decorative, applied, and literary arts.

The overall goals of the commission are:

• To identify and bring together the arts community in all its manifestations

• To publicize and promote artists and cultural activities within the town

• To work with the Town Board to develop paths forward for the arts

If you are interested in being part of the SAC for a one-year term and have the time to participate, we would be pleased to hear from you. Meetings occur once a month for 1.5 hours at Town Hall.
